The GH1 is available with the full range of Guldmann tracks and accessories, including three different rail profiles, turntables, switch tracks and room covering systems.
With a standard SWL of 175kg, the GH1 is capable for most lifting requirements. However with 200kg, and 250kg versions (31.5 and 39 stone), the GH1 is also the perfect hoist for the heavier user.
The GH1 is available in different configurations;
The GH1F is a hoist that automatically attaches and detaches from the track, click here for details on the GH1F.
The GH1Q features a quick attachment and detachment solution, for times when a hoist may only need to be in position for a medium length of time. The GH1Q can be easily removed from the track without tools, meaning maintenance and re-installation is extremely simple. Click here for details on the GH1Q.

FAQs
What Safe Working Load (SWL) options are available for the GH1 ceiling track hoist?
The GH1 ceiling hoist is available in 175 kg, 205 kg, and 255 kg SWL variants.
What track configurations is the GH1 compatible with?
The GH1 can be installed on full-room H-frame systems, straight ceiling-mounted tracks, wall-mounted tracks, or wall-post systems where structural support is limited. It is also compatible with combination layouts and turntables from the Guldmann rail range.
What structural support is required?
The hoist and track must be fixed to a load-bearing structure, such as timber joists, steel beams, or reinforced ceiling supports. For wall-mounted or wall-post systems, structural verification should be carried out during design to ensure adequate load paths.
How is the GH1 hoist charged?
The GH1 ceiling hoist charges via a wall-mounted docking station using the handset. This keeps electronics protected and ensures the lifting module remains charged without requiring in-rail charging infrastructure.
Is the GH1 suitable for high-frequency use in public or clinical environments?
While designed for everyday lifting, the GH1 is generally recommended for light to moderate usage environments such as home care, smaller clinical spaces, schools, and therapy rooms. For very high-frequency public use (e.g., Changing Places), the GH3 ceiling hoist may be preferred.
Are BIM/Revit files available for design coordination?
Yes. BIM/Revit families and CAD drawings are available for the GH1 and associated track systems, supporting clash detection, ceiling coordination, and M&E integration.
Does the GH1 ceiling hoist comply with LOLER requirements?
Yes. The GH1 ceiling hoist requires LOLER inspections every six months.
What ceiling height is required for installation?
The GH1 ceiling track hoist has a compact profile and is suitable for most standard ceiling heights. Specific clearance requirements depend on the sling type, user needs, and track configuration and should be confirmed during detailed design.
